Relationships between Adriano Espaillat and Ydanis Rodríguez are cracked

New York, NY. - Apparently, the pronouncements of the Federal Congressman Adriano Espaillat in favor of the relocation of the bicycle lanes established by the city hall in narrow streets, where the majority of commercial establishments owned by Dominicans in Washington Height are established, have cracked, the relations between him, and Councilman Ydanis Rodríguez.

The reflection of this visible contradiction was evident, during the party of the Democratic Club for the Change of the North of Manhattan celebrated the past Sunday 10, where they made an appearance of presence, the Congressman Espaillat, the state senator Marisol Alcántara, the president of the County of Bronx Rubén Díaz Jr., Charles Rangel and wife, among other personalities, being notorious the absence of Councilman Ydanis Rodríguez and his ward, Assemblymember Carmen de la Rosa.

Ydanis Rodríguez, who is also the president of the powerful Transport Committee of the city, has become one of the most brave defenders of bicycle station installations and the opening of roads for the transit of these, with the purpose of that the marginalized sectors of Upper Manhattan, reduce the use of motor vehicles, preserve the environment and exercise.

Similarly, the federal congressman Adriano Espaillat, is not opposed to the installation of bicycles, or the corridor of it, but understands that there are other adjacent streets where they could be placed, which would not harm the businesses in the area, nor would it congeste Washington Height's high-traffic routes, ideas that, apparently, Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez does not share, and that has led him to distance himself from Congressman Espaillat.

The absence of the councilman Ydanis Rodriguez and Assemblywoman Carmen de la Rosa, became the talk of the night, among the participants who attended the successful event headed by Congressman Espaillat, organized by the Democratic Club that supports the candidacy of elected officials of Dominican origin in the North of Manhattan and presided by businessman Jaime Vargas, harmed by the measure supported by Ydanis Rodriguez.
Winemakers, restaurant owners, taxi drivers, and other merchants, do not oppose the installation of bicycle stations, propose to the councilor flag bearer of the same, to be sought other places, non-commercial, which have been pointed out, but until the moment, they are already established, and businesses begin to feel the effects of the same, in the economic decline in sales.
