NEW YORK - The study released by the
Center for Latin American, Caribbean and Latino Studies of the Public
University of the City (CUNY) positions and consolidates the aspirations of
Councilor and Chairman of the New York City Transportation Committee, Ydanis Rodríguez,
to preside over the City Council of New York City.
According to the study, the Dominican
population has become the largest Latino group in New York, reaching to
displace the Puerto Rican community that according to the publication
"Latino Population of New York, 1990-2015", were 49% of all The
Hispanics, reducing in 2015 to 28%.
The increase, which doubled the
Dominican population from 349,000 to 723,000 quisqueyanos in the iron babel,
makes the nationals of that country the largest group of Latin, a place that
formerly occupied the Puerto Ricans, who because of their status as a
Commonwealth are born citizens and do not need travel documents to enter it.
To date, the official statistics give
numerical preeminence to the Dominican community, above the other sister
nations that congregate in the city of New York, and this amount, must be
recognized by the other councilors, when deciding who Will preside the
Municipal Council, expressed the marketer Elías Barreras Corporán.
Barreras Corporán added that "it
is from these numbers that consolidate the aspirations of the Councilor for the
district 10 of Dominican origin Ydanis Rodríguez, since the largest community
must direct the work of the municipal assembly for the benefit of all
residents.
Ydanis Rodríguez, a young man of
fresh ideas who since his arrival at the City Council of New York City has
submitted and directed projects in favor of the residents of the city's
neighborhoods.
Also, Ydanis Rodríguez has the
endorsement of New York Mayor Bill De Blasio to re-elect the position and
support to lead the city council assembly, the current spokeswoman of Puerto
Rican origin Melissa Mark-Viverito, Congressman in Washington Adriano Espaillat
and dozens of city councilors. Support,
which guarantees your aspirations.
